Private Beta
Spillway is currently in private pre-alpha testing with invited colleagues and other early users.
Who the beta is for
The current beta is best suited to people who:
- use macOS;
- manage a complicated Gmail inbox or several accounts;
- are comfortable using unfinished software;
- can keep Gmail or another established mail client available as a fallback; and
- are willing to report bugs and describe where the workflow does not fit their needs.
What testers should expect
Spillway is changing quickly. Features may be incomplete, interfaces may move, and some actions may fail. Testers should not rely on Spillway as the only copy of important information.
The application is intended to make consequential email actions visible and user-controlled, but pre-alpha software always carries risk. Review the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service before participating.
AI options
Testers may use local AI through Ollama or configure a supported cloud provider. Local AI keeps ordinary processing on the user's Mac; cloud AI sends selected content directly to the configured provider.
See Why Spillway uses local AI for setup instructions, including how to install Ollama.
Giving feedback
Useful beta feedback includes:
- messages or categories that were handled incorrectly;
- tasks, dates, or opportunities that were missed;
- suggestions that should not have been shown;
- confusing controls or wording;
- performance problems; and
- privacy or trust concerns.
Questions, beta inquiries, bug reports, and feedback may be sent to software@joshpasek.com.
